Dr. Millie was born in Burlington and grew up in Pennsylvania. She worked in pharmaceutical research before going to veterinary school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Millie worked in various small animal clinics in Vermont before settling into Petit Brook Veterinary Clinic in 2000. She is very active in the Vermont and New England Veterinary Medical Associations. She is a huge fan of wiggly boxers but does not have one of her own at the moment. Her cats Percy and Emma have trained her well and allow her to live with them!
Dr. Mike grew up in Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut before attending veterinary school at Cornell University. Prior to his arrival at Petit Brook, he was a partner in a large mixed practice in Northern, NY and then a small animal practice here in VT. From his perspective, sharing information with clients and having them involved in decisions about their pets are the cornerstones of veterinary medical practice. He is involved in coaching softball, basketball and Odyssey of the Mind with his wife and children. He loves hiking and being on the lake. His dogs have included everything from dachshunds to great danes. At home he enjoys the antics of his family cat Flash.
Dr. Adrienne grew up in Essex Junction and attended the University of Vermont (go Cats go!). Prior to attending veterinary school, she milked cows at the UVM dairy farm, cared for penguins at the New England Aquarium, and worked as a veterinary technician. Dr. Adrienne graduated from veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She was able to tear herself away from the sunny beaches of southern California and is happy to have returned to the Green Mountains. Dr. Adrienne has a special fondness for hound dogs and enjoys running, baking, cheering on the Red Sox, and boating on Lake Champlain.
Dr. Alice grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate studies at Middlebury College. She traveled down south to attend veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania where she studied small animal and equine medicine and finally understood why people love Spring (no mud!). Happily returning to New England, (home of the Patriots!) she practiced emergency and routine small animal medicine in Massachusetts for several years before moving to Vermont. She now lives in Fletcher with her husband, coonhound mix Clark (pictured above) and two cats, Pepper and Benton. In her free time, she can be found running, hiking, biking, skiing, playing soccer, gardening, cooking or curling up with a good book.
